La propri\u00e9t\u00e9 leur plaisait en raison de l&#8217;emplacement (dans les hautes sph\u00e8res de Westmount) et de son\u00a0<em>look<\/em>\u00a0Mid-Century. En plus, avec ses 7000\u00a0pi<sup>2<\/sup>, elle \u00e9tait suffisamment grande pour leur famille ainsi que leurs activit\u00e9s sociales et caritatives. Tout en sachant, bien s\u00fbr, qu&#8217;elle demanderait des travaux, autant \u00e0 l&#8217;int\u00e9rieur qu&#8217;\u00e0 l&#8217;ext\u00e9rieur. Vraiment beaucoup de travaux.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"entry chapitre chapitreTexte\">\n<p>\u00abApr\u00e8s 15\u00a0minutes, nous avions pris note de ce que nous devions faire:\u00a0abattre des cloisons, agrandir les ouvertures, changer les planchers et les fen\u00eatres, ajouter trois salles de bains, modifier l&#8217;apparence ext\u00e9rieure&#8230;\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>\u00abVous saviez tout \u00e7a en 15\u00a0minutes?\u00bb, avons-nous demand\u00e9, un peu incr\u00e9dule.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abLaissez-moi vous expliquer, nous a patiemment dit Robert. Ma femme, voyez-vous, elle a un don pour ces choses-l\u00e0. Elle entre dans une pi\u00e8ce et sait imm\u00e9diatement comment l&#8217;am\u00e9liorer!\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Et c&#8217;est l\u00e0 que nous avons compris que nous avions affaire \u00e0 des pros.<\/p>\n<p>Pourtant, notre gentil couple de quinquag\u00e9naires n&#8217;est ni designer ni architecte. Robert est d\u00e9veloppeur immobilier, Francine est avocate. Ensemble, ils ont trois\u00a0grands enfants, une avocate comme sa maman, une qui \u00e9tudie pour devenir avocate et un jeune c\u00e9g\u00e9pien grand amateur de hockey. Pas la moindre fibre de designer ici non plus.<\/p>\n<div class=\"image-block vert\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"entry chapitre chapitreTexte\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"fsk_splitbox_252_onscreen\"><\/div>\n<p>Mais nous nous \u00e9garons. Revenons \u00e0 la surprise initiale. On disait donc qu&#8217;ils ne se doutaient de rien quand ils ont achet\u00e9 la maison en octobre 2013, pensant qu&#8217;ils pourraient la r\u00e9nover \u00e0 leur go\u00fbt. Avec leur architecte, \u00c9ric Huot, ils ont fait une demande \u00e0 la Ville de Westmount pour obtenir un permis de r\u00e9novation. \u00abPermis qui nous a \u00e9t\u00e9 refus\u00e9, se souvient Francine. Nous ne comprenions pas.\u00bb Puis, ils ont re\u00e7u une convocation \u00e0 l&#8217;h\u00f4tel de ville pour discuter de leurs projets. \u00abEt c&#8217;est l\u00e0 que nous avons appris que notre maison \u00e9tait consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme un petit joyau parce qu&#8217;elle avait \u00e9t\u00e9 b\u00e2tie par l&#8217;architecte Fred Lebensold.\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Marie-Andr\u00e9e Amiot\u00a0| View original article here.
